We are proud to announce that The Cino (aka Cino Heroica) is back. A bicycle ride celebrating the romance of cycling’s yesteryear’s, in Northwest Montana. September 7-8th, 2019. The 11th official running of Cino…
My name is David Cummings. I am a vintage bike acquirer (“collector” makes it sound like my bikes are nice or fancy), an apostle of steel, a bike grease-monkey, and the new director of the event. This will be my seventh Cino. I am working in close collaboration with the godfathers of Cino to ensure that we continue this unique event in its full heroic soul style glory.

Registration is now open online. Here are a few important notes to read before you head over and register (unless you are so excited you can’t wait anymore and need to register right now, click here!):
The title sponsor for this year’s event is the non-profit school I work for, Kalispell Montessori Elementary. Any proceeds from the event will support tuition assistance for students in need. Of note, Maria Montessori, the founder of our school’s philosophy, was Italian – I’m sure she rode a Colnago…
Some registration option: (Note a a 2.5% CC service charge will be added to registration for these)
- Jerseys – Order by May 5th in order to receive them in time for the event. I am particularly excited about this year’s unique offering. If any extra jerseys are available after May 5, they will cost more, so reserve yours now!
- Camping – as always, the Alameda offers tent camping space, purchase now to save time later.
- Extra Dinner – this is only available to spouses, friends, or family of people purchasing a full ride.
NEW THIS YEAR! A Concours d’Elegance (optional bike show and tell) will be held at Kalispell Montessori Elementary on Friday, September 6 starting at 5:00 PM. Food and drinks will be served. This is not required, but it is a free, fun, relaxing opportunity to geek out over our bikes before the main event. During the registration process you will have the option to select this event and indicate what bike you are bringing.

Remember what JFK said about Cino: “We choose to ride the Cino on bikes older than a decade, and do the other things. Not because they are easy, but because they are hard.”
Many thanks to past director Reed for helping me get the ball rolling again this year.
Please follow this link to registration – we look forward to seeing you in September!
Allez!
